Hours of Your Life

What this site stores about you

Your list of films, TV, books and games is stored so it is there on every device you sign in on. Nobody else sees it, and you can take it with you or have it deleted.

Last changed on 23 September 2026.

The short version

  • We store your email address so you can sign in, and your list so it is there on every device.
  • Your list is never sold, rented or shown to anyone else. There are no adverts on this site.
  • The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in. Page views are counted without cookies.
  • You can ask for a copy of everything you have added at any time, and you can ask for your account to be deleted.

What we store

Your email address
It is how you sign in and how we reach you about your account. If you press Continue with Google, Google tells us your email address and the name on your Google account. If you set a password, it is scrambled before it is saved, so nobody here can read it.
Your list
Every title you add, the hours you gave it, and the details that came back from the catalogues: the year, the author, the page count, the number of episodes, the genres, the cast, the director and a link to the cover image.
What you are paying for
Whether you are on the free plan or the paid one, whether your last payment went through, when the subscription runs out, and the customer number Stripe gave you. Card numbers never reach this site.
The profiles written about your list
If you pay for the read of your library, the text that came back is saved to your account, along with the earlier ones, so you can read them again without paying to write them twice.
The conversations you have about what to read next
What you typed into the box on the books page, what came back, and the books it suggested. They are kept so the books are still there when you come back, and there is a button on that page to delete any of them.
What your AI requests cost us
Each time you press a button that asks the AI for something, we note which button it was, when you pressed it, and roughly what it cost us. We use it to check that the paid plan covers what it costs to run. It is deleted when your account is.

Cookies, and how page views are counted

There is one cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. Signing out deletes it. There are no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels.

Page views are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics and by Umami. They tell us how many people opened a page, which site or link they came from, and how many of them went on to create an account. Neither uses cookies, neither follows you to other sites, and neither tells us which of those views was you.

Who else gets to see it

Hours of Your Life is built on other companies' services. Each one is sent only what it needs to do its job, and none of them is allowed to use it for anything else.

Supabase
Runs the database your account and your list are stored in, and handles signing in.
Cloudflare
Serves every page of this site and counts page views.
Umami
Counts page views and sign-ups, and which link each visit came from. It is told the page you opened and the site you came from, never your name, your email address or your list.
Google
Only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google tells us your email address and the name on your account, and Google knows you signed in here.
Stripe
Takes the payment if you subscribe. You give Stripe your card details on their own page. We are told whether the payment worked and are given a customer number, and we never see the card.
OpenAI
Tags your titles, writes the read of your library, and answers when you ask for a book to read next, and only if you pay for those. What it is sent is a summary of your list (your totals, your top genres, themes, directors and actors, and the names of the titles you have added) and, on the books page, what you typed in the box. It is not sent your email address, your name, or anything else about who you are. OpenAI does not use what apps like this one send it to train its models.
TMDB, Open Library and RAWG
Where runtimes, page counts and typical play times come from. When you search for a title, the words you typed are sent to them. Who you are is not.

What we do not do

  • Your list is not sold, rented or handed to advertisers.
  • No other account can read your list. The database checks that on every row it returns, not just the app.
  • Nothing you add is published, and no part of this site is public except the home page and the sign-in page.

Getting a copy of everything

Email hoyl@manymin.app from the address you sign in with and ask for a copy of your list. You will be sent everything you have added as a file within 30 days. Ask before you delete your account if you want to keep what is in there.

Deleting your account

Email hoyl@manymin.app from the address you sign in with and say you want your account deleted. Your account, your list, the profiles written about it and the conversations you have had about what to read next are deleted within 30 days.

Deleting cannot be undone, and there is no copy kept afterwards, so ask for a copy of your list first if you want it.

How long it is kept

Your list is kept until you delete it or ask for your account to be deleted. Stripe keeps its own record of payments for as long as tax law requires, and that record is theirs rather than ours.

Where it is stored

On servers run by Supabase and Cloudflare, which may be in a different country from the one you live in, including the United States. Using the site means your list is stored there.

Asking what is stored, and complaining about it

Wherever you live, you can ask what is stored about you, get a copy of it, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Changing a title covers the correction, and the email address on this page covers the rest.

This site is run from Canada, so Canadian privacy law applies to it, and you can complain about it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in the UK or the EU you can complain to your own regulator instead, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office.

The reason we are allowed to store any of this is that you asked us to run this service for you, and it does not work without your list.

Children

This site is not for children under 13, and accounts are not created for them knowingly. If you think a child has an account here, email hoyl@manymin.app and it will be deleted.

When this page changes

If what we store or who we send it to changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top changes too. If a change means something we already hold gets used in a new way, you will get an email about it before it happens.
